Eliminate
the cost and dead
weight of a deck engine by using the main engine
to power both the truck and deck equipment. Cotta Split Shaft
PTO's allow one
engine to do the job of two by routing main engine
power to either the rear wheels or the deck equipment.
This is accomplished by using a split input shaft in combination
with a single clutching sleeve. The clutch is designed so that
it will not engage
in both the PTO and
truck mode at the same time. In operation you
drive to the work site, shift to PTO, and go to work.
Split Shaft PTO's come in capacities to 800 HP with many
accessory drive options available.
The flagship model of Cotta
Split Shaft PTO are models TR2237 and sister version TR2238.
The models are alike except the upper PTO ratio on TR2238 has
three over speed ratios available
up to 1.4.
